
Tatton Garden Society present: 'The Gardens of Windsor Great Park', a lecture by Harvey Stephens.
Enjoy a brilliant lecture from Harvey Stephens, Head of Grounds & Landscapes at Eaton Hall Gardens in Chester and previously Deputy Keeper of the Gardens at Windsor.
Harvey began his career in the Probus Demonstration Garden in Cornwall. He graduated from the Duchy College Rosewarne and then moved to study at the Royal Botanic Garden at Kew, becoming the Chairman and Secretary of the Kew Mutual Lecture Society.
After leaving Kew, Harvey worked abroad for several years before returning to the UK, where he supported the opening of the Eden Project in 2001. From 2001 to 2006 he was the Head Gardener at Borde Hill Garden in Essex and whilst there, achieved the 2004 HHA/Christies’ Garden of the Year Award. Harvey then moved to Windsor as Head of the Savill Garden and Deputy Keeper of Gardens and collections across Windsor Great Park.
He now manages the gardens at Eaton Hall over in Chester. He has won many RHS plant show competitions and is a regular judge for the RHS Spring Woody Plant competition.
