Tatton Park in Knutsford, Cheshire is one of the North West's most successful heritage visitor attractions with nearly 800,000 visitors a year. 

Various Roles:

Estate team

Retail/Visitor/Gate  Team

A number of varied opportunities have arisen working at Tatton Park for immediate start for the next couple of months and the possibility of longer term contracts.

These are across a few roles including Visitor Welcome, in our shops, and at the pay entry gates.  

Other roles gives you the opportunity to work as part of a team in the beautiful parkland across the estate. Involves outdoor work on presentation and caring for this special place. This includes looking after the visitor toilets and bin collection.

All roles include weekend working, which is paid at time and a half.

Initially we are seeking casual contracted staff for the next few months and will then advise the permanent/part-time opportunities.

Assistant Park Ranger 

Following a resignation, Tatton Park requires an Assistant Park Ranger to be part of a critical team looking after the 2000 acre historic Tatton Park estate. This person will assist in all aspects of estate operations and related visitor management in order to deliver consistent and effective visitor services. Reporting to the Estate Rangers, the role involves working a shift pattern including regular weekends. Previous applicants from the recruitment process in 2020 and March 2021 for a similar role who were shortlisted but unsuccessful at the time are welcome to reapply. 

Applicants will have experience in countryside management and the husbandry of livestock. They must have a range of practical skills and have the ability to work with both livestock and the public.

Hours will be based on a shift system and will include regular weekends and Bank Holidays and some evenings.

Catering Assistant - Stables Restaurant & Gardener's Cottage Tea Room 

We are looking for enthusiastic and friendly individuals, keen to learn and who enjoy working as part of a team. This role will suit you if you are able to inspire and engage our visitors within our catering operation and are willing to work in all aspects of a catering role.

Training can be given as required and we have flexible days available for working. We are looking for weekend staff and weekday staff within both the Stables Restaurant and the Gardeners Cottage Tea Room. 

Rates of pay:

From £7.93 for 17 year olds

£8.36 for 21-24 year olds

£8.91 for 23 year olds +

Farm Assistant

This is a unique opportunity to work on a Farm-based visitor attraction, welcoming over 80,000 visitors annually. You'll be working as part of a small team in an incredible place, helping with the day-to-day care of our rare breeds of livestock. In this visitor-facing role, you will help organise Farm events and take on key roles to improve the visitor experience.

You must have farming knowledge and experience and be a team player but also be able to work alone and use your own initiative. Weekend working is part of the job and a driver's license is needed.
