Create a 2D Needle Felted Floral Picture Inspired by Tatton Park’s Beautiful Gardens
Join us for a creative and relaxing workshop exploring the colours, textures, and beauty of Tatton Park’s floral borders and landscapes. Using the art of 2D needle felting, you’ll create a vibrant felted scene inspired by the stunning planting and peaceful atmosphere of Tatton’s historic gardens.
Led by Vicky Pulman of Needlessly Felted, this session is perfect for both beginners and those with some creative experience. While some confidence with sewing can help, embroidery is completely optional – your piece can be as stitched or as soft-edged as you wish!
Drawing on photographs and garden imagery, you’ll be guided to build up a richly textured felted landscape using colourful wool fibres, surface embroidery, and your own creative flair.
What’s Included:
- A wide range of vibrant felting wools to reflect floral tones, foliage, and garden textures
- Embroidery threads in a rainbow of colours, including ombre blends for depth and detail
- Felting needles, mats, and optional templates to support your design
- Step-by-step guidance in needle felting and optional embroidery techniques
- Entry to Tatton Park Gardens – enjoy a wander and take inspiration before or after the workshop
Discover the calm, tactile joy of needle felting as you create a unique floral artwork inspired by the seasonal splendour of Tatton’s gardens. You’ll leave with a finished 2D felted piece – ready to frame, gift, or simply admire as a reminder of your day surrounded by creativity and nature.
