Field to Fork at the Mansion
The Mansion’s kitchens and cellars tell the story of food preparation techniques at Tatton, whilst above stairs you can learn about the banquet served at one of Tatton’s most talked about high society events - the costume ball held in 1897. Find out more about the food served, the distinguished guest list, the costumes they wore and the entertainment that night at our Tatton Costume Ball exhibition, new for 2018.
The Mansion will also reveal more about the last Lord Egerton’s legacy in Kenya, a place he visited regularly and where he purchased and farmed the land. His farm holdings are explored during an intriguing exhibition which also sheds light on a wonderful farming legacy-an agricultural college which continues to educate students to this day.
