Scarecrow Festival 2021: Unsung heroes and inspiring individuals

*Postponed until further notice*

This is a favourite event for all visitors to our Gardens. The annual Scarecrow Festival is when dozens and dozens of scarecrows are displayed throughout the Gardens and in recent years, they've also cropped up at the Farm!

The theme for 2021 is unsung heroes and inspiring individuals, as a way of celebrating those special people - local, national or international - who helped us through 2020. We're also delighted to include scarecrows built by local schools. The challenge has been shared with pupils and teachers to create their school's hero in scarecrow form. And they'll be featured in the festival throughout February half term.

Which heroes do you hope to find? Captain Tom, Joe Wicks, nurses and doctors, scientists or teachers? Join in the festival fun and see if you can spot your heroes!

You could start by exploring our 50-acre Gardens and then venture down to the Farm to continue the scarecrow trail. Here, in amongst the paddocks, stables and farmyard you'll find more scarecrows capturing heroic moments from 2020.
