Design a Scarecrow Drawing competition

Date(s)
02 February - 30 April 2021
Description
Scarecrow Festival 700 x 500

The Fun bit!

Children! Take part in our drawing competition and design an inspirational scarecrow!….and it might just be made into a real one!

We sadly had to postpone our Scarecrow Fest in February and it’s now taking place 29 May - 6 June 2021. We would love children to get involved and think about their heroes of the pandemic, get creative and design a scarecrow during the current lockdown. Our drawing competition is open for children up to 12 years old and the theme is your unsung heroes and inspiring individuals.

The boring (but important) bits:

Simply download the template below, print it out and draw (or paint/collage/print/whatever you want) a picture of your scarecrow design in the space provided - the theme for your design should be an unsung hero or inspiring person that you would like to acknowledge in your scarecrow design. Don’t forget to include your name and age.

How to submit your drawing:

1. Take a photo of your work and email it, along with your name and age to tattonmarketing@cheshireeast.gov.uk (no bigger than 5MB) or

2. Pop it into an envelope with your name and age and mail it to:

There are two age categories (7 and under and 8 - 12). The entries will be judged and scarecrows made by our Education and Garden teams. A scarecrow from each age group will be chosen to stand proudly at our Scarecrow Fest in May 2021.

The deadline for entries is Friday 30th April 2021. Winners will be contacted by email.

Applicants must be living in the United Kingdom to participate.
