Tatton Park Biennial
The Theme for Tatton Park Biennial 2012 is 'Flights of
Fancy'
May 12th to September 30th
Tatton Park Biennial is a leading contemporary art event.
Every other year new work is commissioned from established and
emerging artists, inspired by and for the historic site in rural
Cheshire East.
In 2012 the Biennial will examine the human urge to fly and the
aeronautical legacy of Tatton Park and the region.
The third Biennial will work to develop substantial links with
industry, academia and business in the Olympic Year.
Tatton Park Biennial 2010 took place from 8
May to 26 September 2010
The theme of the second Biennial was 'Framing Identity,' a
laboratory for creative experiment and exchange. New works for the
Mansion and Gardens were commissioned from established artists
working internationally and emerging artists working in
Britain.
As in previous years, the Biennial was supported by an active
education programme and tours, talks and performances. Tatton Park
Biennial 2010 was a finalist for a prestigious EGHN award and was
short-listed for the Lever Prize 2010.
