Visit the Farm on a Wetter Day
A visit to Home Farm is ideal in any weather!
Nearly all the farm animals can be met under cover. Our
rare breed pigs and their piglet litters can be seen in
thePiggery
with close-up views through specially designed glass windows.
Our lovely donkeys are safe inside their stable and the Red Poll
cattle and calves can be seen in the cow shed.
Tatton's indoor hatchery is a wonderful educational experience
where children can see newly hatched chicks and ducklings during
certain times of year.
The all-weather play area is a great success with Farm visitors.
Toddlers and children up to 10 years old can have great fun with
the pedal tractors and trailers of their choice.
Mum and Dad can relax at tables and benches provided and watch
the little ones playing safely undercover.
If you're looking for somewhere to sit and have your picnic then
the Farm's educational barn room has a designated eating area and
washing facilities.
Step back in time at Aunt Mary's Cottage and enjoy the Pottery with
lovely items, made on site.
The Farm also hosts activities during the school holidays all of
which can be held under cover if needed including donkey grooming
and scarecrow making.
For those wanting to take cover on your journey to the Farm,
Tatton's very own land train is a fun way to travel! The Land
Train runs on a circuit from the Car Park to the Farm and operates
weekends and School Holidays (small charge).
