Tatton Park's
Parkland
There are over 1,000 acres of parkland to explore which are home
to herds of beautiful red and fallow deer. Try one of Tatton Park's
recommended walking routes, explore some of Tatton's parkland by
bike (Bicycle hire is available at
certain times of the year), and bring a picnic . The Tatton Park
hildren’s parkland explorer booklet is a great way to see the
park and nature spot. You can download
the Tatton Park parkland Explorer Booklet (PDF,
1.47MB) from the website or pick one up from
Tatton's Gift Shop. Nature Trail booklets are also on sale
here and at Tatton Park entrance gares for a small charge, full of
colour photographs of wildlife to look out for. Young bird watchers
can observe from Tatton Park's new bird
hide. The adventure playground has over 30 exciting rides
and has long been one of the best loved play areas in the
region.
Tatton Park's Farm –
A great place to visit whatever the weather.Meet many of Tatton's
farmyard animals including pigs, donkeys,
horses, cows, goats and poultry, most are indoors!. We’ve a new
Jersey Cow called Lou – come and see her being milked at 2pm each
day in the Farm’s shippon in the Summer. Visitors to the farm can
enjoy some fantastic new activities this high season including a
woodland play trail, and den building area. Story telling will take
place every Sunday from the beginning of May to the end of
September in the woodland area where there's also a brand new
picnic area. There's a new story room where children
will be able to sit and read a range of children's favourite books
and an indoor play area where young ones can ride around on our toy
tractors. Events take place regularly at
Tatton's Farm throughout the year.
The Gardens at Tatton
Park are great for kids too. Tatton’s maze is
brilliant fun and there’s a great children’s garden quiz to follow
for a small charge. During the year Tatton's garden puts on a
number of family events including Apple
Day and Get Squashed in the Gardens in
October and our famous Scarecrow Festival in February.
The Mansion at Tatton
Park - Fascinating history for kids to
immerse themselves in. There’s a fun Young World Explorer quiz to
take part in, inviting children to seek out the Treasures of
Tatton. (small additional charge).
Extras – No day out
is complete without a treat! Snacks, drinks and ice creams can be
bought at the Tatton Park's Tuck Shop in the main stableyard area
or at the Farm where sandwiches, teas and coffees can also be
purchased during the Summer holidays. You’ll also find Tatton's Stables restaurant caters very well for
families.
The Magic of Beatrix Potter at Tatton Park
Tatton Park celebrates Beatrix Potter this spring and summer
with an enchanting programme of events and activities across the
park including story telling, fun trails, outdoor theatre, hand on
kids activities, talks, dressing up and much more. Click here for more information.
Tatton Park's admission
prices - If you are planning to visit more than
one of Tatton Park's attraction (mansion, gardens and or farm) then
we recommend you purchase a Totally Tatton Ticket which entitles
you to visit all 3 attractions and you can use it on another day if
all 3 attractions are not visited that day. This represents
significant savings on buying single attraction tickets. A
family ticket is £27.50 and can be used for 2 adults and up to 3
children. An adult ticket is £11 and a child ticket is £5.50 There
is a car entry charge to Tatton Park of £5 enabling you to enjoy
the parkland and its activities, shops, restaurant and adventure
playground.
Tatton Park Opening
Times – Tatton Park is open virtually all year. The
parkland, shops
and gardens are open every day of the
year except Mondays in low season. The mansion and farm are open
every day except Mondays in high season. In low season the
Farm is open every weekend and school holidays and the Mansion
is open for Christmas at Tatton
Park.
