The RHS Tatton Park Flower Show may be cancelled this year due to the coronavirus outbreak, but a special one-day virtual event has been planned instead, enabling households to embrace inspirational gardening content from the comfort of their homes.
The Royal Horticultural Society will host Tatton Park 'At Home' on Wednesday 22nd July in absence of the physical event, bringing together videos, articles, and advice from some of the show's favourite growers, cutting-edge designers and gardening experts.
'We are very excited to be able to bring some of the much-loved elements of RHS Flower Show Tatton Park into people's homes this year and support our friends and exhibitors who help make the show such a success,' says Helena Pettit, RHS Director of Shows.
Other highlights include a special video tour of Tatton Park's famous Japanese Garden by garden manager Simon Tetlow. Plus, local North West based nurseries (who were due to be at the show this year) will be getting involved with the virtual event, providing a selection of practical demonstrations, growing techniques, tips and advice.
