Welcome to the festive Mansion reminiscent of the enchanting
tale of The Nutcracker.
Step into the world of the Stahlbaum family as Clara and Fritz
celebrate a traditional Christmas with their family and
Visit the enchanting dining room first, which is laden with
festive treats ready for the family to enjoy, then stroll towards
the grand tree in the cupola of the staircase hall as scenes
from The Nutcracker continue to unfold. There is the battle between
Clara’s Nutcracker doll with the gingerbread soldiers against the
mice who are led by the Mouse King, and then follow her journey as
she weaves her way through the Christmas Forest to the Land of
In addition to the decorations and displays, visitors will be
entertained with a changing live music programme including a
harpist, string quartet, harpsichordist and choirs.
Christmas is not only evident in the grand
staterooms; the bustling servants’ quarters will also be getting
into the festive spirit. In the scullery our costumed still
room and kitchen maids will be cooking Christmas delicacies.
Visitors can also learn how to create
beautiful decorations for their own home during free demonstrations
in the servants’ quarters.
