Summer Fun For All The Family At Tatton Park This August

This summer, Tatton Park is hosting a range of exciting events to suit adults and children alike. Situated in 1,000 acres of beautiful deer parkland, with centuries of history and an impressive 18th Century Mansion, Tatton Park offers visitors the chance to roam the stunning grounds and enjoy lots of fantastic events – from classic car shows to outdoor cinema screenings, mansion sleepovers to Viking re-enactments.

August Highlights

Sunday 13 August – Viking Sunday at the Old Hall

Renowned for their authenticity and humour, as well as television and film work, the Vikings of Middle England invade Tatton’s Old Hall. Experience domestic life as well as combat, trades and skills. There is also the chance to try your hand at archery (small charge), try on armour and enjoy falconry demonstrations and storytelling.

Sunday 13 August – Fun Dog Show at The Farm

With ten novelty classes including Saddest Dog Eyes, Waggiest Tail and Scruffiest Dog, even the most novice of pups can take home a rosette at this year’s Tatton Park Farm Dog Show.

Tuesday 15 August – The Mystery of Egerton’s Missing Gold

New this year, an after-hours, sleepover event for children aged 7 to 11. Become a detective and unravel an exciting mystery over the course of the evening and stay overnight in the iconic Tenant’s Hall. Booking early is essential for this event. Book tickets at www.eventbrite.co.uk

Saturday 19 & Sunday 20 August – The Tatton Park “Passion for Power” Classic Motor Show

Featuring around 2000 classic cars, over 80 top car club displays, 200 autojumble and general trade stands, the Tatton Park motor show is not one to miss this Summer. Including the very popular ‘Passion for Power’ dream cars pavilion with the finest high performance, competition and super cars! Friday 25 – Sunday 27 August – Outdoor Cinema Weekend at Tatton Park

Following last year’s sell out screenings, the Luna Cinema returns to Tatton for three nights of classic cinema under the stars!

  • Sunday 27 August – Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone

This impressive historic estate receives in the region of 800,000 visitors every year all of whom come to enjoy its Georgian Mansion, Medieval Old Hall, award-winning Gardens and rare breeds Farm. The `Tatton Park Vision’ is the park’s 5 year vision for its visitor activities and aims to substantially develop its visitor experience by increasing the attractions and activities on offer. In delivering the vision the aim is to fully realise Tatton Park’s potential and present the best possible experience for its current and new visitors in order to provide new and sustainable income to help manage and conserve the historic estate into the future.
