Filming

Tatton Park, its Mansion, Farm, Old Hall, Gardens and scenic estate has provided the backdrop to numerous TV/film productions, advertisements and documentaries and has many perfect settings for photographic opportunities for books, magazines and catalogues.

Over the years many of the top TV dramas by some of the world’s best production companies have used Tatton’s stunning locations and facilities.  These programmes have included:

The different facilities available at Tatton are wide ranging and best seen at first hand, however, if you have never been and need to get a flavour of what landscapes and buildings we have, the following list should help:

1000 acres of estate with scenery ranging from wild moorland, a mile long lake, historic woodland, vast open unspoilt views, fallen trees, red and fallow deer, private tarmac and gravel roadways. The estate is perfect for any natural setting and can be used for night time filming as well.

Formal Gardens – Europe’s finest example of a Japanese Garden, plus an Italian terrace, large walled fruit and vegetable gardens, fernery, traditional rose garden, herbaceous border, manicured lawns and numerous large glass houses.

Mansion – Neo classical mansion with forecourt. Large entrance hall, staterooms and private suite of empty rooms able to be set-dressed, with a balcony overlooking the gardens. Front and rear can double for two separate locations and facades.

Tenants’ Hall – large hall with 3 phase power, ideal for indoor set creation, staging weddings, dinner parties and other large functions.

'world war ii evacuees' on the farm We also have a large hard standing car park that provides the ideal unit base location facility with water supply, secure overnight facilities and option to stay on site.

A Tudor Old Hall and historic Barn in private wooded grounds.

Farm – 1930’s style farm with a cobbled farm yard. Animals on site include pigs, cows, horses, sheep, chickens and goats.

Cottages – Victorian red brick estate cottages suitable for interior and garden shoots.
