Christmas at Tatton Park 2009Christmas Tree in Main Hall

Christmas is a magical time to visit Tatton Park. Festivities are centred round the Mansion which recreates the festive scene as it would have been when the Egerton family were entertaining their guests in the 19th century. The award-winning Gardens afford year- round colour and provide an interesting outdoor option. Christmas fayre is offered at the Stables Restaurant and the speciality shops are stocked with unusual gift ideas and festive food. Father Christmas joins the animals at the Farm every weekend in December. A diverse Concert series, Gift Fair and Stableyard Carols complete the programme of festivities.

Visit the Christmas Mansion

Many believe that Christmas hasn't truly started until they have visited the Christmas Mansion at Tatton Park. The Mansion dates from the 18th century and is traditionally decorated with garlands and floral decorations using foliage from the Parkland and Gardens which give a lovely fragrance. Christmas Table

On weekdays visitors can wander at leisure through the Mansion Staterooms to admire the Christmas displays. Room stewards will be on hand to bring the history of Christmas at Tatton to life. Decoration demonstrations are given in the Kitchens by some of the team who decorated the Mansion, offering inspiration for ideas at home.

At weekends take time to visit the Mansion at leisure with live music accompanying you as you walk through the staterooms. At dusk, candles are lit to add to the traditional festive atmosphere
