The Garden Shop

Tatton’s Garden Shop sells a range of garden related gifts along with seasonal herbs, pots, plants and baskets.

simon and rhubarb

It is perhaps becoming best known for its hand-picked produce from Tatton’s recently restored Walled Garden. The vegetable and fruit gardens, revitalised with manure from Tatton’s farm, grow a vast array of produce for visitors to purchase. Among the hundreds of different varieties of fruit and vegetables – many local – are The Costard, an apple introduced by the Romans; Golden Ball, a local Napoleonic War Turnip and Timperley Early, a rhubarb dating from the same era.

Due to the abundance of produce being grown in the gardens, the Garden Shop has recently introduced a range of conserves and chutneys, which are created using surplus stocks of fruit and vegetables. The first batch produced included Balsamic Onion Chutney, Hot Chilli Jelly, and Pear and Ginger Conserve.

The availability of garden produce is dependent on the the time of year.
