    Rosie the Red Poll

Rosie was born in May 2005.

The Red Polls are not kept on many farms today which makes her very special and she seems to know it too! She has been trained to walk on the halter and when she was just 12 months old attended our local country show where she won lots of rosettes. We hope she will go on to win lots more and eventually produce a calf of her own.

She lives with all the other cows at Home Farm and particularly enjoys having a bath!

    Blossom the Clydesdale

Blossom is our blue roan Clydesdale mare.

The Clydesdale breed is classed as “at risk” on the Rare Breeds Survival Trust Watchlist but Blossom is doing her best to help preserve this magnificent breed. In 2006, she had her first foal, Tatton Jubilee Jester (JJ for short) and is a natural mum. Her second foal, Tatton Talisman, arrived in May 2007. We are hoping she will have many more foals in the future.

Blossom lives with her friends Blue and Finny, who she likes to boss around, and she especially enjoys being groomed and meeting all the visitors.

    tallulah the tamworth

    Tallulah the Tamworth

Tallulah is a rare breed Tamworth pig, born here on the farm in October 2006.

The Tamworths are one of the rarest breeds of pig and are classed as “vulnerable” on the Rare Breeds Survival Trust Watchlist.

Tallulah loves treats, especially apples and carrots, and makes a fuss if she doesn’t get them for her pudding! She always wants to be the centre of attention and is a real character.

The Adoption Scheme has been made possible as a result of the establishment of an independent Tatton Park Trust which was established in 1996 (Charity number 1111357). With the support of both Cheshire County Council and the National Trust, the Tatton Park Trust is able to raise additional funds for conservation, education, access, cultural activity and other charitable purposes related to Tatton Park.
